EMN Research Studies provide a broad look into specific topics of current interest for the understanding of the migration and asylum situation in the EU and its Member States. Each research study has a report for each participating country and a synthesis report with a more general European focus.
Small Scale Studies address the need to provide immediate responses to impending information needs. These studies have a more narrow scope than the larder Research study Projects, and have a run-time of approximately two months.
Annual Policy Reports focus on policy developments and analyse the changes in legislation and administrative practices on the national level, with special focus on the implementation of EU legislation. The annual report traces the most important debates on migration, asylum and integration in the Member States. The (sometimes opposing) perspectives of the different actors, such as NGOs, national authorities and research institutes, are highlighted.
